|
Introduction
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. - Matthew 23:27 A timely warning for Christians. The Pharisees were held accountable for allowing themselves to come to the point of self-deception and blindness that resulted in their acting hypocritically. Rather than considering the Pharisees from a perspective of condescension, we should consider how easily we can and do fall into the same trap. Chapter 1 - Being 'right' is not the same as following truth. Chapter 2 - When 'leaven' (hypocrisy) is not intentional it is self-deceptive. Chapter 3 - Master of Our Own Domain Chapter 4 - The Natural Man Chapter 5 - All the World is a Stage Chapter 6 - Sincerity Chapter 7 - Cognitive Dissonance Chapter 8 - Legend in Our Own Mind Chapter 9 - Fat and happy Chapter 10 - Everything is Going According to Plan Chapter 11 - Measuring Hypocrisy Chapter 12 - Doctrinal Contributions Chapter 13 - The Unknown Chapter 14 - Legalism Chapter 15 - Justification Chapter 16 - Summary |
